Our Strategic Objectives
In delivering against our mission and pursuit of our vision, we have identified four core strategic objectives:
- School Improvement – consistently seeking better outcomes for our children and providing the highest possible standard of education across a broad curriculum
- Operational Effectiveness – maximising the resources and revenue opportunities across the Trust, with effective internal controls, risk management and governance
- Creating an engaging and aspirational learning environment - creating engaging environments for staff and pupils, recognising that the only way we can better ourselves is by having a learning culture at all levels and in all our schools, accepting that we can and will always need to improve
- Parental and Community Engagement – partnering with parents and the wider community to strengthen family involvement, build community support and enhance school success
In order to deliver against our strategic objectives, we identify annual actions that support achievement. The actions set against each strategic objective are tracked on an ongoing basis to ensure progress is being made with regular feedback and discussion with trustees.
In addition, the personal annual objectives of the leadership team are set against the strategic plan. This is best practice and ensures they have a vested interest and are focused on achieving the strategic actions.
We conduct annual assessments to review achievement actions overall and by individuals to ensure that we are making progress against our strategic objectives.
Each year, the Trustees formally review the strategic plan to assess progress over the prior year and to ensure the plan and focus areas continue to meet the needs of our schools. New actions will be agreed upon to continue to deliver the strategic objectives.
