To celebrate the upcoming World Poetry Day on Friday 21st March, Cirrus Trust is once again holding our ‘Cirrus Poetry Competiton’ across all schools!
All children are invited to take part in this exciting competition with the winning poets from each school not only being awarded the Best Poet for their school, but will also have the chance to be crowned Best Poet of the Trust, earning a fantastic prize for their school!
Poems must be handed into your child’s class teacher or the school office by Friday 28th March.
Winners will be annouced after the Easter holidays.

This week, Cirrus Primary Academy Trust celebrated Thinking and Founders Day.
As a Trust, we recognise the value that such organisations bring and know that many of our children enjoy being members of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Scouts, as well as similar associations such as cadets.
As part of our celebrations, children were invited to wear their members uniform to school on Monday 24th February. This was a lovely opportunity for children to share with their friends and teachers what they enjoy about being part of one of these groups.

What is GivingLottery?
GivingLottery is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in the UK. Cirrus Primary Academy Trust will receive 40% of ticket sales which will go towards covering the cost of activities for the children in our schools as well as Trust wide events!
How it works:
🔹 You scan the QR code above which will take you to our Cirrus GivingLottery.
🔹 Purchase your weekly tickets. Tickets cost £1 per week and each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000.! You can choose a continuous monthly payment or make a one off payment for a set amount of months.
🔹 Tickets consists of 6 numbers and each number will be between 0 and 9.
🔹 A weekly draw takes place every Saturday night. Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2-6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all 6 numbers and you win the Jackpot!

What better way to engage children in a love of reading than a trustwide celebration of books, their characters and rich vocabulary?
Last week, our children (and staff!) celebrated #worldbookday by dressing up as their favourite book characters! Children spent the day exploring the pleasures of books, celebrating authors and illustrators and most importantly, reading.
Encouraging children to read helps them to:
- Find themselves
- Expand their vocabulary
- Spark their imagination
- Support stronger foundations for their learning
- Nurture bonds with their peers

We’re proud to announce the result of @avenueprimaryacademy January 2024 Ofsted Inspection. Avenue Primary was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas! This is such a fantastic achievement and the outcome of the inspection has only confirmed what we already knew; that Avenue is an outstanding school!
